     If you have never been seen in the clinic or were a previous client but have not been seen in over 1 year, you will need an initial consultation where we will spend 1 hour on a video call reviewing your health history, discussing lifestyle changings for weight loss and the best medication for you and answering your questions. The cost is $300.

     Medications are an adjunct for weight loss, and you will have life-long success if you incorporate healthy changes such as healthy eating, exercise and stress reduction. You will receive education and support at each visit to help you change your lifestyle permanently. 

     Prescription phentermine is one of the best medications available to curb your appetite and is FDA approved for weight loss. Although it is approved for individuals with a Body Mass Index (BMI) greater than 30% and for over the age of 16, it may be offered to you if you are younger and your BMI is greater than 30%, if your BMI is less than 30% and/or you have other risk factors, and to prevent or help your diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or other weight-related illnesses. Phentermine can be used alone or combined with other weight loss medications for increased weight loss or plateaus. You will be able to eat regular foods but phentermine will help you eat less and choose healthier foods. The average weight loss is 5-8 pounds a month.             

    Phentermine is not an amphetamine but it is a controlled medication. It is not addicting as they initially thought but you may have more hunger and less energy if you miss a dose. It has been shown to work on the brain receptors, not the heart receptors like fenfluramine, the medication that caused heart-valve problems that is no longer available.

    The cost of this program is $125 for 30 pills of phentermine only pills or $175 for 30 pills of phentermine combination pills. Either medication include instructions and support. THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE THE INITIAL CONSULTATION.   

     Semaglutide is a glucagon-like peptide analog (GLP-1) that is approved for non-diabetic weight loss for individuals age 12 or older. Semaglutide reduces appetite and food cravings by mimicking a gut hormone that causes the pancreas to release insulin, blocks the liver from releasing sugar, and slows down the speed at which food leaves the stomach. 

     Not only does semaglutide help with weight loss and improve insulin levels, it works to decrease your risk for stroke, heart attack, and death. Semaglutide also works to protect the nervous system, improve fertility, treat PCOS, and help you decrease your alcohol consumption.

      Given its ability to help people lose weight and absence of liver toxicity, it could help people with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in a secondary way.

     The most common side effects are nausea, stomach bloating, heartburn, constipation and headache.

     It is an injection that you take once a week.

HCG is not approved by the FDA for weight loss but it has been available for over 60 years and has low risks for side effects. The average weight loss is 1/2 to one pound daily of muscle. 

     This HCG weight loss program is modified so you can continue to exercise, eat a bigger variety of food and eat more calories. 

     There is a maintenance program that you follow after each HCG session to ensure you keep the weight off. 

     Some common side effects of HCG include constipation, nausea, headache, irregular menses, raised testosterone levels, and an increased chance of getting pregnant.
