I want to make sure I can help you reduce your risk of medical conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, cancers, arthritis, and sleep apnea before they happen or help you decrease your pain from being overweight or improve the medical illnesses that you have. You will get a body composition analysis, Vitamin B12 injection and learn healthy eating, activity and behavior habits for weight loss. 

     If you choose medication to help you with weight loss, you will be able to remain on medication not only to help you lose weight, but also to prevent you from regaining weight

     Phentermine is one of the best medications available to curb your appetite and is FDA approved for weight loss. Although it is approved for individuals with a Body Mass Index (BMI) greater than 30% and for over the age of 16, it may be offered to you if your BMI is less and/or you have other risk factors and to prevent or help your diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or other weight-related illnesses. Phentermine can be used alone or combined with other weight loss medications for increased weight loss or plateaus. You will be able to eat regular foods but phentermine will help you eat less and choose healthier foods. The average weight loss is 5-8 pounds a month.             

     Phentermine is not an amphetamine but it is a controlled medication. It is not addicting as they initially thought but you may have more hunger and less energy if you miss a dose. You will receive education and support at each visit to help you change your lifestyle permanently. You cannot receive phentermine without a medical evaluation to ensure you are receiving the most effective medication and dose, safely.      

     Semaglutide is a glucagon-like peptide analog (GLP-1) that is approved for non-diabetic weight loss for individuals age 12 or older. Semaglutide reduces appetite and food cravings by mimicking a gut hormone that causes the pancreas to release insulin, blocks the liver from releasing sugar, and slows down the speed at which food leaves the stomach. 

     Not only does Semaglutide help with weight loss and improve blood sugar, it works to decrease your risk for stroke and heart attack by decreasing your blood pressure and cholesterol. Semaglutide also works to protect the nervous system, improve fertility, treat PCOS, and help you decrease smoking and alcohol consumption.

     The most common side effects are nausea, stomach bloating, heartburn, constipation and headache.

     Other medications available for weight loss are topiramate, metformin, naltrexone, and bupropion. Thye may be used alone are in combination, that are either FDA approved or off-label use for weight loss.      Methonine, Inositol and Choline (MIC) are minerals that you have in your body that help metabolize fat and can help with weight loss.  You can receive an injection once a week. 

    The cost of one injection is $20. It can be mixed with Vitamin B12, B Complex and/or Vitamin C.
